About the TSPL
The TSPL is an NCAA sanctioned league which allows for the participation of the area’s collegiate athletes as well as the top High School players. In its opening season, the TSPL was the first NCAA sanctioned league in the country to include both men and women players.
Based in Tucson, Arizona the TSPL is also home to quite a few NBA players, U of A alumni and other players who are currently playing professionally worldwide. This allows our fans to see former Wildcats along side current U of A players as well as some of Arizona’s top High School talent.
The Tucson Summer Pro League is made possible by a number of Tucson area businesses and sponsors. Admission is free and all games are open to the public, however seating is limited.
With top NCAA Division I athletes and professionals from both the NBA and Europe, the TSPL is great summer basketball for players and fans of all ages. We hope to see you there.

History of the TSPL
In the summer of 2004, the Tucson Summer Pro League began under the direction of University of Arizona Men’s Basketball alumni Corey Williams. From 1992-1996 Williams was a versatile key player for the Wildcats. In his time under Coach Olson the Cats won two Pac-10 Championships and visited the NCAA Final Four in 1994.

The league is invite only and try outs are held for the selection of players without Div I eligibility..
With top High School, NCAA Division I athletes, professionals from the NBA and Europe, the TSPL is great summer basketball for players and fans of all ages. We hope to see you there.
Location
The Northwest Center is located at 2160 N 6th Ave in Tucson, Arizona. Located approximately 2 blocks south of Grant Road, the Northwest Center is on the east side of 6th Ave.

Pascua Yaqui Youth Internship Program
In 2011 we are excited to continue our internship program with the young people of the Pascua Yaqui tribe in both the Tucson and Guadalupe communities. The program strives to develop the complete individual, placing focus on academic, athletic and personal success. It is through our responsible employees and quality mentoring that our program has been most effective and successful.
The Pascua Yaqui Internship Program will be in unison with all games and activities of the basketball leagues. The season lasts about 7 weeks and games take place Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Interns will attend a 1 hour development workshop and guest speaker on Saturday afternoons, followed by lunch and their assigned work at SPL games.
Job Positions
- Scorer’s Table – statistics record keeping, operation of scoreboard and shot clocks
- Team Managers – consists of 2-3 interns per team and will be responsible for balls, water bottles and towels.
- Equipment Managers – assist in the preparation, distribution and collection of team uniforms.
- Ushers and Hosts – in charge of seats, as well as greeting and helping with team sponsors.
- Concession Assistants – responsible for preparing, organizing and selling snacks to fans and players.
